We are a group of students who are taking Psychology 140: Development Psychology at UC Berkeley in Summer 2016.
Due to our background, we are very interested in language education, specifically being multilingualism.
We created this website to share some useful information on the benefits of multilingualism and the ways of teaching a multilingual child.
Additionally, we interviewed a few students and parents on their experiences.

We hope you find this website helpful!

I'm a university student majoring in Neuroscience with a passion for the neuroscience behind language. As far as I know, learning a second language was important for finding alternative ways to express different concepts similar across cultures. I am a filipino student studying in the united states who came from a British international school and a catholic elementary school. In each environment, it was an advantage to be able to speak both English and Tagalog proficiently.
I am from the San Francisco Bay Area. I can speak Cantonese conversationally. I am super hipster and love all things artsy, beauty, fashion, and improving health & lifestyle. I would like to pursue a career in healthcare and nursing, although my future plans are open to many possibilities at the moment.
I was born and raised up in Qingdao, China.
I am pursuing a double major in Media Studies and Statistics, and a minor in Education at UC Berkeley. In my junior year, I studied Sociology at the University of Cambridge.
I am fluent in Mandarin and English and intermediate in Japanese.
Due to my experiences, I am very interested in language education.
I helped build this website to spread some useful information for people using our skills and knowledge.

I come from Taiwan and my major is in language; as a result, i am so fascinated by what role language plays in our lives. although i am not born in a bilingual family, lots of friends of mine are, and some of them are good at two or even more languages at the same time, which makes me curious about bilingualism. in this website, we conclude some findings and research on bilingulism, some of which are so useful. hope that it would be beneficial to you.
